Craig Koch – Class of 2000

 

My girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me the fall of my junior year. After a few days of mourning, I decided that it was for the best and was doing my best to move on.  During warm up stretching at the beginning of CC practice, someone told Thornton about my predicament.

Upon hearing that she not only dumped me, but was now with another guy, Coach could not restrain himself.  “Craig!  You cannot let this happen.  Are you just going to let this guy walk away with her???” Yes, everything is a competition to Coach.  I tried to explain that it was for the better this way, he just folded his arms over his chest and uttered a “hrumpf.”  I still laugh about it today.  Makes me wonder about the courtship of Merrill.
